Sri Lanka & Maldives 2026

Overview
Sri Lanka & the Maldives: A journey of exotic cultures, wildlife, enticing coastlines and stunning landscapes that explores two very different island nations — Sri Lanka and the Maldives — each offering its own unique rhythm, landscapes, and sense of place.
Sri Lanka, often called the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean,” is a land of contrasts, its cultural roots stretching back over 2,000 years can be seen in its ancient cities, sacred Buddhist temples, and the rich blend of traditions shaped by its Hindu, Muslim, and Christian communities and its more recent Dutch and English Heritage.
Alongside its remarkable heritage are misty highlands, wild national parks, and long stretches of golden coastline. You'll find ancient stone carvings and UNESCO World Heritage Sites alongside tea plantations, bustling local markets, and peaceful village life.
You’ll explore the Cultural Triangle, wander through the remains of royal cities, visit local spice gardens, and take in the view from atop the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress. You'll meet elephants at the Elephant Transit Home, go on safari in three of the country’s best national parks, and experience the quiet charm of the highlands.
On the coast, explore the historic streets of Galle Fort, cruise along the Madu River, and visit a turtle hatchery helping to protect endangered sea turtles. The journey ends in Colombo, with a chance to see how Sri Lanka's modern energy meets its colonial past.
Finish your adventure with five unforgettable nights in the Maldives, discovering a side of the islands few visitors see. Stay on vibrant local islands where daily life unfolds along sandy lanes and colourful streets. Cycle through quiet villages, watch traditional dhoni boat-building, and meet the warm island communities. Snorkel over coral reefs, swim with gentle nurse sharks, enjoy a picnic on a pristine sandbank, and soak up the natural beauty of this island paradise before your flight home.
